Childrens Creative Therapy
Do you have concerns about a Child in your life?
It could be that you see they are just really troubled or unhappy right now and need some help to feel themselves again.
Life as we know isn’t always easy for children and can throw up all kinds of painful experiences and big feelings.
Children’s creative therapy sessions can help
My Approach
With many decades of experience of working professionally with children, I offer you and your child a safe, caring environment to explore the difficulties they are facing. You will begin to feel more hopeful that your child can begin to thrive despite the challenges.
Adults experiencing difficult experiences usually talk things through with a trusted person but children often use play and creativity to explore their life experiences. The therapy I offer nurtures this natural ability in the child and helps them to make sense of their worries and muddled thoughts and feelings. There is no pressure for them to talk as they can express through creativity.

My Qualifications and Experience
Having qualified as I counsellor, I worked for 5 years for TIC+ an organisation offering free counselling to children and teenagers in Gloucestershire. This involved traveling to different primary schools in Cheltenham offering creative counselling to children who had been referred. TIC+ provided excellent supervision and lots of additional training relevant to working with children.
I went on to do a years Post Graduate training and gained a PG Certificate in ‘Creative Therapies for Children and Families’. I then worked as a counsellor at St Marks primary school in Cheltenham and with children in private practice.
Prior to this I worked as primary school teacher for 20 years including with children with special educational needs and led children’s groups in various church settings.
